What we collect
legal.privacy.collection · version 2
When you book an appointment, OpenChair collects the information needed to complete and manage your booking, including your name, contact information and the appointment you choose. If you book for a dependent, we also collect their name and date of birth. We also collect information about how the booking flow is used so we can monitor and improve the experience.
We do not collect your dental records
legal.privacy.no-clinical-data · version 2
Your dental and medical information stays with your dental practice. OpenChair is designed to facilitate appointment booking and does not collect or maintain your dental or medical records. Information you provide directly to the dental practice is handled according to that practice’s privacy practices.
Your card details
legal.privacy.payment-data · version 2
Payment card information is submitted directly to our payment provider, Stripe. OpenChair maintains information about the transaction, such as the payment status, amount and associated booking, but does not store your full card details.
Who sees it
legal.privacy.sharing · version 2
We share the information needed to manage your appointment with the dental practice you book, including the patient’s name, appointment time and contact information. Service providers that support OpenChair, such as our payment provider, receive information as needed to provide their services. OpenChair does not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.
Analytics
legal.privacy.analytics · version 2
We use analytics to understand how the OpenChair booking experience performs, including where users leave the booking flow, page performance and general booking activity. Analytics information is not associated with your name.
How long we keep it
legal.privacy.retention · version 2
We retain appointment, transaction and consent records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate OpenChair, meet our legal and business obligations, resolve disputes and respond to questions about bookings or charges. We may also retain a record of the Terms and policies accepted at the time of a booking.
Asking us about your information
legal.privacy.contact · version 2
You can contact us to ask about the personal information we maintain about you or request that we correct or delete it, subject to any information we are legally required or permitted to retain.
Children
legal.privacy.children · version 1
OpenChair accounts are for adults. When you book for a dependent, you provide their name and date of birth; we use them only to identify the patient to the practice and we do not knowingly collect information directly from children. A parent or guardian can ask us to delete a dependent’s details.
SMS and text messaging
legal.privacy.sms · version 2
If you choose to opt in to SMS when booking, OpenChair may send transactional messages related to your booking, including confirmations and updates. SMS consent is optional and is not required to book an appointment. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. We do not sell or rent your mobile number or SMS consent, or share them with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share the information necessary to deliver messages with service providers that send messages on our behalf.
